Meander 1  Poem -- Fragmented Life --

Fragmented life
Little beads
On a string
Woven pattern
Beaded clothes
Cut the string
Life falls apart
Put together again

Meander 2 - Reading

While working on a new story, I read between writing sessions. I don't read much, no more than a chapter or a long scene. The one thing I avoid at these times is books that I haven't read before. Problem here is that I want to read the book to the end. What I do is pick an author where I have a lot of books by them and re-read them. They can be in any genre but the one I'm writing in. Right now I'm working on a fantasy so when I looked over the collections I had, I chose Jennifer Probst. I've followed her career from the beginning and quite recall pushing her to publish and not to give up. So glad she kept on and writes wonderfully. May she keep on until she's as old as I am.

Meander 3 - Writing

Am working hard on the rough draft of Lines of Fire Challenged. This book is both a quest and also a discovery of what life is about. Have four chapters blocked an and am working on the fifth. I believe there may be as many as 12 chapters when I finish. Rough drafts are fun and can often go astray. So far I'm keeping to the dream and not veering but it could happen.  When that happens, I go back to the beginning and maybe restructure some events to add in what may have turned me into a side road. Rough drafts are fun.
