Wednesday's Writer's Tip - Writing ABC - X is for the X Factor

I had a hard time coming up with an X for writing. I decided on the X factor and this can mean a number of things. In writing this is something that can't be defined until all of a sudden there is is to add perhaps body to the plot. The X factor can be some secret the hero, heroine or villain is holding to their chest and is afraid to reveal.  This secret can be a bombshell or it can be something that is not so bad but when revealed makes the character's actions make sense.
