Meander 2 - Post Divorce Gift
The bus depot was dim and dark. The gift
The gift you sent had just arrived. The gnomish man
With rasp edged voice pointed and made me lift
And lug it to the car. My hands began
To wrestle with the sealing tape and tear
My fingernails. Soon the tape was overthrown
To reveal a giant set of cooking ware,
Enough to feed a regiment. I live alone.
Am I in your fantasy chained to stope and
Sink as I was before. Do you
See me, spoon in hand, flashing wedding band
Stirring goant pots filled iwth bubbling sted?
What made you choose the gift I wanted least
In honor of the ending of our wedding feast?
Meander 2 - Nursing Home - My husband has now gone to a nursing home. They call it Rehab but I'm not sure that will happen. He is weak and his heart continues to act up. Now he occasionally needs oxygen and had to dropout of physical therapy yesterday. Will he be home in time for Christmas? I'm really not sure. I'm able to face the end but I have children and grandchildren who may not feel the same.
Meander 3 - Writing - I've sort of begun a new story. Actually I had the first chapter blocked out and decided I needed to begin again and just mock up the chapters so I can see where the story is going. It's a romance, contemporaty, one of the Moon Child series with Cancer and Virgo pairing up. There's some trickiness in the story since there is a child, hers and his adopted son who is ill. This may be a hard one but I'll manage to get through this and hopefully it will help.
