After looking at Alpha and Beta Heroes, I've decided my ideal hero is neither though he may share some traits with either type,

My kind of hero is strong, and knows what he wants. He will go after his goals but he won't tramp on other people to gain what he wants. He will react to the heroine, perhaps in a strong way but he will willingly allow her to make her own choices. He will also have a secret that he doesn't want others to know but he will learn to trust the heroine enough to share with her. While he may have a temper, he is not physical unless this is called for in some manner as in defending others. He will try verbal arguments and reasoning before he goes into a physical fight.
