Saturday's Blurbs feature Books by Dee s. Knight #MFRWAuthor #Jenna Stewart #Anna Krist

write under three pen names—erotic romance as Dee S. Knight, sweet(er) romance as Anne Krist, and menage romance as Jenna Stewart.

Regan by Jenna Stewart
Joining in the westward migration, Davey and Regan O'Ryan Stone bought an Oregon farm sight unseen, hungering for adventure. Davey regretted the impulse far past the point of no return, and then he died. Now, unskilled and alone on her farm, Regan fears going home a failure—as a daughter, a wife and a farmer. With money quickly running out, she gladly accepts the offer of help from Seth Pratt, an acquaintance from the wagon train, and his friend Haywood Lawrence.

One-armed Seth seeks work at the remote farm at the end of an Oregon trail with low expectations. When he finds Regan, alone and widowed, he tamps down desire. She deserves better than a man handicapped in war, searching for his soul. She's worthy of someone like his Shakespeare-spouting, best friend, Hay. Nothing could have prepared Seth for Regan's simple solution—that both men stay. On the farm and in her bed.

Burning Bridges by Anne Krist
Not your typical “secret baby” book! This Southern romance packs in the emotion.

Letters delivered decades late send shock waves through Sara Richards’s world. Nothing is the same, especially her memories of Paul, a man to whom she'd given her heart years before. Now, sharing her secrets and mending her mistakes of the past means putting her life back together while crossing burning bridges. It will be the hardest thing Sara’s ever done.

One Woman Only by Dee S. Knight
As one of a set of triplets, Jonah Goodman has always stood out as the least academic—and the last one to take the world, or commitment, seriously. Thing is, that’s not really who he is. But who can he convince of that? Not his family, who see him as they always have. And maybe not his one love, the sweetheart he left behind in high school but with whom he is now sharing an erotic holiday. Will he get his second chance to prove to Kelly that he is a loving man who wants more than a sensual few days, but a real relationship with the woman he lost once and doesn’t want to lose again? With that chance and Kelly's love, Jonah knows that a "good man" can become a better man.

Dee S, Knight is visiting and talking about Plotter or Panster #MFRWAuthor #Panster #Plotter #Virginia, #the Carolinas

Thanks for hosting me today, Janet!

Are you a pantster, plotter, or perhaps a bit of both?
I’m pretty much a pantster. There was a time when I never kept notes at all. I just had everything about the characters and plot in my head (lots of empty space up there, evidently). But in the last few years I’ve started using character sheets—for physical characteristics, goals and background—and now I’ve found photos of the characters I am creating. Just a visual image to help keep me straight. So in that regard, I’ve become more of a plotter.

Which comes first—characters or plot for you?
Plot, I think. I’ve not really thought of the two as separate before. If I have an idea for a plot, I usually envision the character(s) at the same time. But I do lean toward plot as being the bones of the story and the characters as the muscle. They have to fit together in order for the book to work.

What are you working on now? Is this a book in a current series or something totally new?
I’m trying hard to get book 3 of the Good Man series out the door. At the same time, I’m in the middle of a brand new type of book—more erotica than erotic romance—and I’m also editing a book to get it ready for self-publishing. The owner of the first publishing house I worked with passed away last year and I received back rights for ten books. Getting them edited and updated is proving a chore.

Do you have some kind of object or place that figures in most of your books?
I tend to write books set in the south since that’s where I spent most of my life. Virginia or the Carolinas, specifically. It’s a part of the country I love, so it’s easy to go back to it in books. And I almost always put some form of my husband in books. He’s not always a hero, either! It depends on whether I’m aggravated with him at the time of writing. 😉

Do you write every day or just when the spirit moves you?
I should write every day. That I don’t is why I have two books in progress instead of finished, and still five books to republish. Sigh

Saturday's Blurbs feature Books by Dee S. Knight

Only A Good Man Will Do (The Good Man Book 1)

1.      Only a Good Man Will Do

Daniel Goodman is a man on a mission. He aims to become headmaster of Westover Academy. For that he needs a particular, special woman to help him set high standards. Into his cut and dried life of moral and upright behavior, comes Eve Star, formerly one of Europe's foremost exotic dancers. Her life is anything but cut and dried, black and white. Daniel is drawn to her like a kid to chocolate. Nothing good can come of this attraction. Or can it? He is after all, a good man.

2.      Naval Maneuvers

Blurb: Men and women of the armed forces experience lust and love pretty much like everyone else. Except, well, there is that uniform. And the hard-to-resist attraction of "duty, honor, service" as a man might apply them to a woman's pleasure. All things considered, romance among the military is a pretty sexy, compelling force for which you'd better be armed, whether weighing anchor and moving forward into desire, dropping anchor and staying put for passion, or setting a course for renewed love with anchor home. Explore the world of love and the military and see just how hot Naval Maneuvers can be.

3.      Passionate Destiny

Blurb: Margaret Amis-Hollings makes a temporary move to an old house in Virginia, never suspecting she’ll share it with a very loving ghost. Before she knows it, her life is intertwined with a soldier from a long past war and with his descendant, Aaron, the handsome, sexy man who’s renovating the place. Sharing their lives is one thing. Sharing their passionate destiny proves to be something else.

Friday Dee S. Knight is visiting today and Telling us Who She was Before #MFRWAuthor

1.       What were you in your life before you became a writer? Did this influence you?
Before writing my first book I was a technical writer. Well, that isn’t wholly accurate. I was a Christmas gift wrapper (professionally but not as a profession, thankfully, No patience!), a clerk, an acquisitions librarian, a trucker, a computer applications consultant, a teacher, and then a technical writer. That makes it sound as though I had a hard time holding down a job, doesn’t it? But those jobs were over the course of about 26 years. I guess you could say everything I did helped prepare me for writing—the variety of places we traveled and then lived, and the wide breadth of experiences my husband and I shared. So many of them found a way into one book or another.

2.         2  Are you genre specific or general? Ithink I’m pretty general, although everything as Dee S. Knight has been erotic romance and mostly contemporary. I wrote first one regular contemporary erotic romance and then an adult fairy tale. The third was paranormal, and the fourth was normal contemporary again. I’ve also written a couple of space opera ménage books. Under another name, I’ve written wolf shape shifters and two historical ménage series. Again, under another name, I even wrote a ménage about a nun. Please don’t run screaming from the room! It isn’t at all trashy, and (as it turns out) the girl was never intended to be a nun. The book is set at the end of the Korean War and is a play about family and (especially) mothers. Anyway, I’ve explored a lot of sub-genre!

3.       Did your reading choices have anything to do with your choice of genre or sub-genre? Not really. I didn’t read all that many romances before I started writing, and to tell the truth, I didn’t know such a thing as erotic romance existed. I wrote a book and submitted it to my first publisher who said they needed more S-E-X in their books and in my ignorance (or maybe naivete?) thought, “How hard can that be?” So I wrote a book with lots of sex and sent it back. From then on, I just added sex to the stories I created. And I did eventually read other writers my publisher signed on and discovered that I like reading sexy stories as much as writing them! 😉

4.       What’s your latest release? My latest release is Book 1 of The Good Man series, Only a Good Man Will Do. A seriously ambitious man seeks woman to encourage his goals, support his (hopeful) position as Headmaster of Westover Academy, and be purer than Caesar's wife. Good luck with that!
It came out last October from Black Velvet Seductions.

5.       What are you working on now? I just finished a short story for Black Velvet’s supernatural anthology coming out in the fall. Now I’m continuing with Book 2 of The Good Man series, One Woman Only. I’ve been woefully neglectful of this book this past year due to real life, but I’m on track to finish soon. I hope everyone likes it!

6.        Where can we find you? m one of the authors on https://nomadauthors.com, along with two of my alter egos, Jan Selbourne, Amber Carlton, and Francis Drake. Friday's Guest featuring Dee S. Knight #MFRWauthor #romance #Who She Was Before

1.      What were you in your life before you became a writer?     I didn't start writing until I was in my fifties, so I had the opportunity to work at a lot of different things. I was an over-the-road trucker for 8 years, an acquisitions librarian for a year, a teacher for 13 years, a technical writer for 4 years, and a technical editor for 5 years. There were other things tucked in there before I started calling myself a writer (like gift wrapper for a Christmas season!). I guess trucking influenced me the most, mainly because of all those lonely miles I had available to put together stories! Needless to say, I've also been associated with lots of different people from various walks of life, and I have shamelessly used them as fodder for my characters.
2.
Are you genre specific?
With the exception of one book I wrote under another pen name, my books have all been erotic romance. I didn't set off to write erotic romance—and I didn't tell anyone that I was writing it until well into my second year of being published. I wrote a book, sent it to a publisher of erotic romance. The publisher said that she liked my writing style but that the book didn't have enough sex in it. She said if I ever wrote and erotic romance to please let her have a look. I thought, "How hard can it be to write sex?" I wrote a different book, added (what I though was) lots of sex and sent it back the next month, and she published it. So I've just staying in the genre. It's what I love to write as well as read.
3.

Did your reading choices have anything to do with your choice of genre?
Not really except insofar as I read romance and write romance. I didn't really know there was an erotic romance segment of romance—I never read it. I only got into erotic romance as a kind of challenge to myself. I do love romance books, however, and read all the subgenre, from historical to futuristic.
4.
  What's your latest release?
Last March Black Velvet Seductions released a book of three novellas called Naval Maneuvers. It features naval personnel and their discovery of life and love, in uniform and out. They have scheduled my next book, Only a Good Man Will Do, for this fall. It's the first in the Good Man series.      The series focuses on naturally identical triplets, Daniel, Jonah, and Mark Goodman. I hope readers like the boys as much as I do!
5.
What are you working on now?
Book 2 of the Good Man series, where intermittently employed Jonah Goodman is a mechanic attracted again to the girl he loved in high school.
6.
   Where can we find you?
I have teamed up with other writers on Nomad Authors (
