This is the cover for a double treat. Two novels in my Opposites in Love series. As to Astrology, I usually develop my characters using Astrology. This usually gives me traits to work on when developing the people in my stories. Interesting bit here is that among my friends and acquaintances, I know couples who fit the signs written about. Their loves are nothinglike the ones developed in these stories but they have given me some ideas especially for where there could be problems in the relationships.

Since I'm meandering today, here's a bit about life here. I'm 89, going on 90 and life has crawled but not slow enough for rest. Writing new stories will continue until I can't write.

I've also begun thinking about Christmas stockings, I have a lot that I do every year and it's time to start buying things to put in these stockings and sending boxes to my distant families.

Writing on my current book is into the next to the last draft and there are many words needed to be added to make this a book rather than a novella. So I must get back to work.

 Meander 1 - Reading - Still re-reading Mary Jo Putney's Regencies and am enjoying visiting with old friends. I have nearly completed reading all of hers I have in my Kindle Library. Then I'll pick up on some interesting books I've been buying in the past week.

Meander 2 - Thoughts _Christmas Stockings- I've begun stuffing the stockings. This year there are 16 to do. First I'll finish the Florida ones since ther will go in the mail on Tuesday. I really enjoy this every year and I've been doing it for sixty plus years. The number has grown as children marry and have grandchildren. Sometimes a grandchild brings another into the house. Had to hit the store again today since I needed a few things to add to the stockings, Hopefully I have them all in hand now.

Meander 3 - Writing - Goes slow but I am moving forward. Havenearly finished blocking in Chapter 9. Once all the chapters are blocked in I'll be able tomake progress. Next draft will concern plot and places.

 Meander 1 - Reading - The past week has been a great one for reading new books. Read Bishop;s Peace by Roberta Grieve - the third bok in a trilogy and a fitting end to the series. Samantha and Misty Hollow Mail-Order Bride by Margaret Tanner - were sweet romances of the West. Crucible 13 by James Rollins. Amazing the destruction the man wreaks in fiction. This time a city - Paris. Read the Red Quilt by J S Marlo, a lovely romance. Evelyn's Beau by A M Westerling - a prequel to her Regency series and a great book. Snowflakes and Kisses by Barbara Baldwin - a great romance. All these books were well written and some of them I will read again.

Meander 2 - Thoughts - It's that time of year again and I've been busily working on buying stocking presents. I'm almost ready to start filling the stockings. Sixteen  this year. What fun that will be.  Want to get them in the mail as soon after Thanksgiving as I can.

Meander 3 - Writing - Working on Committee. Am finally ahlfway through the rough draft. There are a few glitches I'll have to cover. This is a romantic suspense but also more. It deals with a divorcedcouple who still have feelings for each other as well as the medical suspense. Tht's a bit different in some ways. Let's hope I can bring it off.

Meander 1 - Poem - Cameleon ---

Taking on the color of those around you.
Blue when they are sad.
Red, yellow, green and gray
Swirl in fascinating patterns
But never one to call your own

Meander 2 - Christmas Stockings

Every year, I do stockings for all the family members. I usually choose nice sized stockings, some knitted by my mother. My oldest child has decided to buy things to be used as stockings. This year, they are so large, there's no way I can fill them. I really wish I could go back to what I used before but I don't want to upset this child so this year, the stockings on't be full to flowing over. There willbe two new ones and they will be small. I can fill them to overflowing.

Meander 3 - Writing

Continuing to slog along with Children of Fyre. I do hope I'll get over the hump soon. As usual the typing holds me back but I will persist and finish this book

Meander 1 - Poem - Little Child

Little child, you stay up late.
You wonder why I scream and yell.
Why don't I leave you to your fate.
Because in the morning the alarm will bell.

Meander 2 - Christmas Stockings - Every year I do stockings for the family. There are many to fill. Every year I say I'll buy things all year and make things easier. Unfortunately I forget and end up running around like a nut trying to find small, inexpensive, useful and fun items for the stockings. This year I've found some really odd things. What about plastic storage bags that don't lay flat but stand like jars. I found that to be most clever. There are some neat paper clips I found, too. Other things are more ordinary but still fun. Like a bit of candy for each person and gift cards for underwear, and stuff for lips. This year I found some even the boys will use. Seven are completed and ready to mail to far off states. That leaves nine more to go. Once the others are mailed, I'll start on those. Then I can get on with other Christmas preparations.

Meander 3 - Writing. Working on three projects. Coming near the end of a draft of The Cancer Capricorn Connection. Am half way through Past Betrayals, Past Loves and am nearly finished with combining two of the Seduction Series so they can come out in paper and be sold as duets. Sometimes my head swims but I'll manage through this. It's colder weather and I work better then.
