Single mom Jayde MacMillan does not need the headache of another man in her life, as she devotes her every breath for caring for her two toddler twins, and working full time to give them a stable and happy home.

Daniel Cameron is a free-spirited lover of all things beautiful—including women. He’s perfectly content with drumming around a fire and winding his way barefoot through the forests of upstate New York.

Neither expected to see each other again after a wild and passionate night of lovemaking at a local spring festival. A chance encounter and two precocious toddlers four years later says Fate has other plans for Jayde and Dan.

Some one-night stands are meant to last forever.

LOVE IN THE FOREST (Earth and Sky Series Book 1) (2021)

Step into the mystical and magical forests of Upstate New York, where Earth and Sky camp photographer Brooke Meadows has taken refuge from the demons of her past as she uses her ability to communicate with the dead to heal loved ones left behind.

Unable to cope with the loss of his wife and daughters three years prior, Josh Quinn, CEO of the number one dating site Quirkyflirt.com, is ordered by his board president to take a break from his Big Apple Headquarters. He finds himself at Earth and Sky Retreats, where confronting his grief has led him to experience a life-altering transformation and re-evaluation of reality.

Will Josh leave behind his fast-paced, high society life in the concrete mountains of New York City, for the magical, bewitching world Brooke reveals to him in the foothills of the Adirondacks?

Will Brooke acknowledge and accept her own journey of transformation and healing as she and Josh explore the winding paths and summits that lead them to find love in the forest?

TEN BUCKS AND A WISH (2018)

All it took was one wish and ten bucks, and Deanna Drake was falling in love all over again with her high school sweetheart.

Returning to her Olde Westfield home ready to battle the proposed development of her family legacy, Deanna learns that the man she despises most is behind the takeover.

Cord stole her heart five years earlier and now plans to steal her rightful heritage and turn it into his next successful moneymaking venture.

Falling in love again wasn’t even on her radar as she boarded the LIRR and headed east out of Manhattan.

Michael McCord knew he messed up bad when Deanna moved away to the city, never to return. Since then, he has been dealing with the realization that he lost the only love of his life forever.

But when Deanna’s father dies and leaves Cord executor of the debt-ridden and failing Drake estate, the budding developer does what he does best—he takes something that is broken and molds and mends it back to life.

The only question now is what is he hoping to heal? The farm, Deanna’s heart, or both? And where does he even begin?

He soon decides the best way to find out is to start with ten bucks and a wish.

Sometimes the wishes you don’t make are the ones that come true.

Friday Janina Gray is Visiting and Talking About Being a Panster or Plotter #MFRWAuthor #Panster #Plotter #Tarot #Romance

1.    Are you a panster or a plotter or perhaps a bit of both?

I guess I’m a bit plotter and pantser, although I do try so hard to be a plotter. In the end, I’m pantsing it to the finish line.

I use Tarot to create the plot, but then I’m usually writing before I finish the outline based on the Tarot reading. I really don’t have a choice as the characters tell me what to do. So while I have an outline that tells me the basic scenes and ideas to include in the story, I do stray off the path when writing.

2.    Which comes first - characters or plot for you?

Characters come first usually for me and as I get to know them I get a basic idea of how they want the plot to unfold. While I have an idea in my head based on the Plot Tarot reading I complete, the two main characters usually correct me and tell me what the real plot will be when I complete their individual Tarot readings. So I basically do three readings, a plot Tarot reading and one for each character. The character readings usually stay put, but the plot has its own journey.

So I guess they all come first, in a way. And then they all evolve together as well.

3.    What are you working on now? Is this a book in a current series or something totally new?

I’m currently working on BOOK THREE of the Earth and Sky Series! I can’t believe I just typed that. This one is called LOST IN YOUR RHYTHM, and it’s a little out of my comfort zone, so I’m really curious as to how it’s going to turn out.

4.    Do you have some kind of object or place that figures in most of your books? I use gems a lot, hospitals and caves.

The object that figures in most of my books is a signature drink usually favored by the heroine. In TEN BUCKS AND A WISH it was Kahlua. In LOVE IN THE FOREST, Margaritas played an important role. In LIFE IS FOR LIVING, Mead is the go-to drink. In LOST IN YOUR RHYTHM, it seems Liza loves dark beers, specifically Smithwicks (Smittys), or Guinness.

5.    Do you write every day or just when the spirit hits?

I write every day. I’m up in the morning before I start my day job, writing away. Then after work I’ll write (before dinner) and then after dinner I’ll keep writing. Sometimes my writing is blogs, or marketing images, but when I am pumping out a book, it’s usually my current WIP.

6.    Where can we find you?

Physically, you can find me chilling out in my haunted 115-year-old farmhouse in the Mohawk Valley, with my hubby, David, and a very squawky murder of crows.

7.    Who are your favorite authors? What about a book you’ve enjoyed?

I have a lot of favorite authors. Maggie Shayne, MJ Compton, Gayle Callen, Jude Deveraux, Christy Logan, Kat Morrissey, ALee Drake, Bill Blodgett, M.A. Phillips, Elizabeth Doherty, and many more.

Saving Grace, by Elizabeth Doherty was a heart tugger. I really enjoyed the characters, plot, and losing myself in the story.
