Meandering on Monday with Janet Lane Walters #MFRWauthor #poetry #Christmas ornaments

Meander 1 _This week's poem

Tracings

Your fingers gently flowing
Velvet love tattoos on my breasts
Exploring in patterns -- tracings
Moving ever downward
Etching love upon my body
Tracints toward fulfillment
So we meet -- unite -- join
In a brocade of love.

Meander 2 - Christmas ornaments.

Just finished the Christmas tree adding decorations one by one. They're bringing memories of friends who don't inhabit my life these days. The tiny Christmas sweater given by a friend. The piece of glass made by another friend. The ornaments made by a friend now in Florida at out first critiqie Christmas party. The peace sign made many years ago by another friend. As I hang them I wonder if they remember the days when the ornaments were gifts. There are others. One from my childhood with the green year to hang it on the tree. There are the ones from the first tree of my marriage. And all the ones mates to those given to the children in their stockings. I still do that. So now there are 300 ornaments on my tree and 300 memories.

Meader 3 - Writing

I am still plowing through Wizards. Hopefully by next week I'll be able to start the final draft. I'm also working on my friend's last book and pulling all the things I must learn about to make this story sing. Will I manage. I'll do the best I can. Sometimes I hear her speaking when I'm writing.
