Meander 1 - Finished reading my own books and am eagerly awaiting the time to start writing four fantasies. Am now reading Marilyn Meredith's Rocky Bluff series. They are really nice police procedure stories and are filled iwth interesting and some nasty characters as well as some great ones.

Meander 2 _ Shopping - Lately, my granddaughter has taken over doing the grocery shopping. There are some things I must do. The first is to make sure everything is on the shopping list. If not she has to return to the store. The other thing is to make sure my phone is free. During the expedition, there are a few phone calls, "What kind of lettuce do you want?" "They don't have that kind of cheese. What should I get?" "There never is any toilet paper." "The soda was three cases on sale? Should I do the sale?" And so it goes. I guess that would be called keeping connected.

Meander 3 - Writing. = Am almost ready to start the last re-write of the current book. Then all that will be left is the revision section. Then I can start something new.

Meander 1 - Poem _ Security Blanket --

You are security, peace and binding
The comforting nest after flights into the sky.
The arms that hold me when ecstacy is lost.
The fingers that gently sooth away
The anxiety born of facing chaos, madness, death.
And though you cannot soar with me
I need you always there waiting
For those fleece-lined moments
When I return to you.

Meander 2 - Shopping - Yesterday I went to look at possibilities for my kitchen. The refrigerator I have right now is working on its second icemaker and that only spews cubs when it wishes. I had no desire to try a third so I've decided to buy a new refrigerator and so I looked at them yesterday. My stove also needs a bit of an upgrade. The stove has been there since we made the kitchen larger about thirty years ago. Now it does work, all but one burner and I have never conquered the self cleaning function. I tried and tried but it never worked properly. There are other things I'd like to do there but they can wait until I have a few more dollars.

Meander 3 - Writing - I am kicking myself. I did something I'm always warning other writers not to do. That is called rushing the end of the book. While typing the final chapter warning bells rang. I did not play the scenes to the end. All the other chapters are great but this one has to be re-done and so I will. Then the next thing iis to do the CAF for a book thats coming in February or March.

Meander 1 _ Poem

I would like to like your friend
But I'm afraid we're not suited.
She's filled with anger and bitterness
And hasn't found the way of
Tolerance and that growing love
That embraces all the world/
She's still tuned to a difference
Without feeling similarity
I would like to help her find a path
To release her shrunken soul/
I am not sure I can. I can
Only hope and try and pray I will
After what's her name.

Meander 2 - Shopping - I must admit I don't like to shop. I go to the grocery store only because I must. When I look for clothes, I know what I want and if I don't see the item, I leave. Shopping with my granddaughter was an adventure. She looks at nearly every rack in the store. Then she returns to them and selects a few items. Does she buy? No. She must try them on and then perhaps find a different size.

Meander 3 - Writing. There are two more books to revise and edit but I'm putting the aside until I finish at least the rough draft of Murder and Sweet Tea.
