Review:
Tangled Dreams is the perfect title for this book. Ms. Walters’ characters, Janine Rhodes, Nate Quinn, and Davey, …and even Pam, came to life and kept me glued to the pages. There’s a tangle of emotional turmoil, heated moments of fear, passion, and anger, which comes around full circle, leading to a satisfying end. I’m still smiling over the impossible becoming possible. Bravo, Ms. Walters! Highly recommended if you enjoy life-changing romances with HEA endings;)

1. Tell me about your latest release? Genre?

     My latest release is Tangled Dreams the sixth book in the Moon Child series. This time the heroine is a Cancer and the hero a Virgo. Their relationship is tangled by secrets and a sick child.

2. Where did the idea arise?

     I really enjoy exploring Astrology and years ago, I began the series, writing the books as the ideas gelled. Since Virgo was the next hero on the block, I spend a great deal of time planning and recalling all the Virgos I've met in my life. The Cancer part was easy since I'm one in spades.

3. How much research was involved? Did you stay on point or be distracted by wanting to look at just one more thing?

     The research was rather extensive, especially regarding childhood leukemia and also memories of the days when I was a nurse with cases of this type. I managed to hone in on what I needed to know and hopefully fed it into the story without lecturing.

4. How long did you take to write the book?

     This book, a short one took almost six months to write. The death of myhusbandof fifty plus eyars and this Covid 19 stuff kept me back. But I persisted

5. Now a bit about you. How long have you been writing? What is your Sun Sign?

     I've been writing for ages but published for 50 one or two I'm a Cancer with six planets in that sign.

6. Do you write in a number of genres of stick to one?

     I kind of hop around genres sticking mainly to some form of romance but I've written non-fiction and poetry as well. I have some mysteries as well as fantasies, paranormal, contemporary and a bit of historical thrown in. I don't write action thrillers or horror. I'll read and enjoy the former and won't touch the latter.

Thursday's Fifth Scene from Tangled Dreams #BWLAuthor #MFRWAuthor #romance #contemporary

On an impulse, before heading to Pediatrics, she stopped in the gift shop. On a table she saw a selection of books for children. One titled Escape Affinities Book interested her. She read a bit and wondered if the reading level was right for an eight year old.  Would Davey like the story? Hints of magical powers fascinated her. The book was part of a series. She purchased the volume and wrote a note inside.

With the book in hand, she rode the elevator to the fourth floor and stopped at the nurses’ station. One of the women waved. “We’ve a new admission. Davey Quinn, room 401. He might be perfect for your study. I can give you his father’s contact information. Mr. Quinn should be here soon.” She paused. “Man was a wreck. He filled out papers and left in a rush.”

“I’ll wait, I guess.” Janine said. No sense asking for details. Because of the HIPPA regulations, the nurse couldn’t say much. Janine turned away. What now?

When the nurses became busy, she walked down the hall and stopped at the room. She glanced inside. Davey sat against the pillows staring at the television. She tapped on the door. “Are you Davey Quinn?”

“Yes.” He met her gaze.

Janine swallowed. His eyes were the same shade of blue as hers. His blond hair was a shade darker. A vise gripped her heart. All she could do was stare.

“You okay?” he asked.

She smiled. “Do you mind if I visit for a few minutes?” She didn’t want to leave. If his father’s arrived while she was here, so be it.

“Sure.” He flicked off the television. “Boring here.”

“I brought a book you might enjoy.”

He grinned. “I like to read. I’m in the advanced class at school.” He took the book. “Wow, it’s big.”
