Meandering on Monday with Janet Lane Walters #BWLAuthor #MFRWAuthor #Reading #Writing #Thoughts

Meander 1 - Reading - Still reading Mary Jo Putney's regency romances and have nearly finished the ones I have. There have been so few new books that interest me so I re-read. I've started Jennifer Probst's new book but i'll talk about that next week.

Meander 2 - Thoughts - So much dreadful happened last week. I just can't understand people who listen to and believe lies by a large con artist. I decided to do something different and that was taking the ornaments from the Christmas tree and counting them. This year of the 250 ornaments I have I only managed to find room for 224 ornaments. Some were left out. Decorating a tree for so few people might have seemed foolish to some people but with the state of affairs these days having something beautiful to look at and having the memories the ornaments brought was good. Soom I hope there will be beautiful things happening to this country. One can only hope.

Meander 3 - Writing - 3 more chapters to write in the rough draft. Then comes the challenge of making this mishmash into a real story. Hopefully before long I will start on the next adventure. Finding places ot hint of coming events in the story, events I had no idea would come into play. This will be fun.

Thursday - What Janet Lane Walters has been reading #amreading

This week there are four since one of them is a short novella.

The Secret Mistress by Mary Balogh - Laughed through this book as Angelina gets her man. I've read the other two Mistress books and did wonder how Angelina ended up with a rather stuffy man. He's not stuffy in the bedroom.

Perfect Fit by Carly Phillips - A great romance by a friend and former critique partner.Cara and Mike's story, a new one in the Serendipity series - An intense romance that is heartwarmint and a nice read.

The Marriage Mistake by Jennifer Probst - The third in the series and a fun read where Carina uses her Love Spell to gain Maximus. Delightful and heart-warming

Thunder by Taryn Kincaid - Short sexy story of a 1 Night Stand, Really loved when Sean built the bat house for Veronica's attic pests.

Who I'm Reading - Jennifer Probst

This week I've been reading Jennifer Probst, a writer I'm so very proud of. Jen has been a friend and was a former critique partner for a number of years. She's a multi-published writer who is reaching for the start and I'm so happy to see her soar. I must admit I haven't read all her stories but I have heard most of them. She writes alpha heroes you'd love to know and sometimes would love to smack.  You can check her stories here. http://www.amazon.com/Jennifer-Probst/e/B004V56P04/ref=sr_tc_2_0?qid=1342699410&sr=1-2-ent Jen even asked me to do a bit for her children's story Buffy and the Carrot. A story one of my granddaughter's thought was perfectly silly. Heart of Steel is one of my favorites. There's that alpha hero matched with a strong heroine. Of course The Marriage Bargain is another where the hero gets exactly what he deserves. So if you're a fan of alpha heros and their strong alpha heroines, read the stories.
