Friday Janet Lane WaltersTalking about Panster or Plotter #BWLAuthor #MFRWAuthor #plotter #Panster

Since I had no takers for this week's blogs, I decided I would give it a whirl.

 1. Are you a panster or a plotter or perhaps a bit of both?

I start out as a Plotter and have set the plot for what I believe belongs in each chapter of the book I'm working on. Then I start writing and turn into a Panster, taking those hints  I've plotted and turn them into a story. That makes me a bit of both.

2. Which comes first - characters or plot for you?

Plot always comes first. I know what kind of book I'll be writing because I use my falling asleep time to figure the plot. The characters come later to become entwined with the plot.

3. What are you working on now? Is this a book in a current series or something totally new?

Home Caring a medical romance that edges on women's fiction. She is in her thirties, divorced and the mother of a sixteen year old. She has just purchased a home care agency and faces many problems. He is a doctor, and a multi talented man. He likes women but he doesn't believe in love.

4. Do you have some kind of object or place that figures in most of your books? I use gems a lot, hospitals and caves.

The answers of gems, hospitals and caves are mine.

5. Do you write everyday or just when the spirit hits?

I write daily most of the time. Recently it's been slow since I've had a stupid health problem. But I manage at least 100 words every day.

6. Where can we find you?

 Below are my places.

7. Who are your favorite authors? What about a book you’ve enjoyed?

Now this is a hard one. Ilike Tolstoy and have read all. Jane Austin is another favorite one. Lately I've been reading Anne Perry;s Victorian mysteries and enjoying them, Andre Norton is another favorite. There are probably a hundred more I could mention.
