Tuesday's Writer's Tip -more on Off Center Endings #BWLAuthor #MFRWAuthor #Writing #Revisions #Endings

Off Center Endings can mean the death of the story. Using the god in the machine to end a story while the story ends, the reader might not believe this could happen. Doing this can ruin the story for the reader. This may end the story with a bang but the reader will scratch their head. Suppose there's a story where rain comes to isolate the characters. To end with the dam bursting an all die, certainly ends the story but doesn't give the reader that feeling of satisfaction a good ending does.
