Meandering on Monday with Janet Lane Walters #BWLAuthor #MFRWAuthor #Reading #Writing #Thoughts - News

Meander 1 - Reading - Busy reading Andre Norton's Witch World series. Am enjoying rereading old favorites and ocasionally finding a new one. This series ahs been among my favorites for years.

A bit of news for readers. Murder and Mint Tea is free on Amazon for a short time. Also at Smashwords

Meander 2 - Thoughts - News - Seems like every day there is a report of another mass shooting. This is aggrevating and frightening. And it all stems to the love of guns in this country. People who should not have guns are able to purchase them. I have nothing against guns used in hunting but why does anyone need ones that can kill many people. This bit about the Amendment to the Constitution about guns was perhaps good at at time when there were no armies and no police but why do people think they must own guns. They say to protect themselves. Is this really the case? I think it gives them a sense of power and we all know power corrupts. I think there should be more controls on the use of guns and on those who can putchase them. I think they should be taught about how it feels to kill another person. Hopefully someone with some sense will find a way to make this a civilized country and not the wild, wild west.

Meander 3 - Writing - Am not nine chapters into the rough draft and there are three to go. Then I will be able to start making this a real book. While I enjoy this part of the writing, I also enjoy turning those rough chapters into real stories.
