Meander 1 -- Poem -- Hidden Tears --

Surrounded by a sea of saline grief
A tear or maybe two escape her eyes.
The ice berg tip of sorrow buried deep
Belie what lies beneath her smiling face.
Her other tears are thrust with forcefulness
To build another layer over pain
And raise compassion in her watching eyes.
Now weeping others' tears, she can forget
The massive ice floe hidden in her depths.

Meander 2 - Book Reviews - Oh, I like to receive them but they are few and far between, especially in these days of Kindle and books becoming inexpensive. I also don't like to write them and I rather envy people who can do those long and insightful ones but that's not my way. I either like a book or I don't like a book. I'm heavy on giving fours and fives. Occasionally I'll give a three but if I can't like a book, I don't review the book. I'm not going to ruin anyone's day with snide or nasty comments. I've had a few of those and they sting for a short time. Probably five minutes since I believe everyone's entitled to their opinion. I've read books that everyone loved and I couldn't get into them. I've read books that get high marks and my pen wants to make corrections and change those sentences to make more sense ot me. But I will continue to review mainly saying I liked the book and why I liked. If I don't write something, means it's not on my favorite list.

Meandr 3 - Writing Have finished the rewrites of Lines of Fire Challenged. Now it's time to go through and proof and add or subtract anything that needs help. Then I will send it off to my editor when I figure who it is.
