Meandering On Monday with Janet Lane Walters #MFRWauthor #Poem

Meander 1 _Poem - Fallow Fields

Fallow Fields

Fallow fields, weed-filled, choked.
Once wehre lush, once were green.
Now the briars and brambles
Cover unused land.
Neglected - unplowed
Left to stand beneath the sky
To go to seed and not produce.
The farmer comes again to claim,
To plow the unused kland.
Too long it has been waiting
Now only weeds will grow.
Fallow fields and friendships, too
Return to nature and grow wild
And go back to wildness waste.

Meander 2 - A meeting of friends, all writers. Yesterday we had our June luncheon of Hudson Valley Romance Writers. Not all the members were there. Some were missing because of death. Some had other commitments. A few are no more than names on a page. We sat around a round table and mostly talked about writing. Was a fun time and this restaurant has no problem with separate checks. Always a good thing.

Meander 3 - Typing is the order of the next few weeks. A lot to be done. Before I begin another draft of one project I want to have the remaining chapters typed. Also did a read-through of an old mss and realized how much typing will be required to make it write. Almost 90,000 words. Have begun the Cancer Capricorn Connection and have almost 4 chapters rough drafted. Am enjoying writing this.
