The Underdog Plot - second segment #BWLAuthor #MFRWAuthor #writing #plot #Underdog

During the second segment of the Underdog Plot, the rivalry is shown and the hero or heroine is shown to lose again and again. The antagonist seems to be on the way to wining what ever the rivalry is pushing. There seems to be no way for the hero or heroine to win. But during this segment, hope must be kept alive.

Tuesday's Writer's tip features the Riddle Plot 0 second segment #BWLAUthor #MFRWAuthor #Writing #plot #riddle

This is where the reader learns several things. One is what really happened and one is what is thought to ahve happened. This is the time for the specifics. The clues are shown but rather than blatently put forth are shown in an ordinary manner. They don't stick out and shout, I's a clue. The writer must be careful not to telegraph the clues thus making it easy for the reader to solve well before the story ends and perhaps puts it aside.
