 Thenending of the Love plot can be tricky. Think of some of the great love stories that don't have hppy endings. Anna Karenina is one and very much one I remember reading at a young age. I also talked about the ending and thought it wads dumb. My third grade teacher was upset that I read such a book. MY father said Not in his house. I could read anybook on the shelves. I thought the ending was dumb. I was and still am looking for thehappy ending where love rules and wins over all obstacles. Perhaps why I will never write the Great American Novel. So remember while using the love plot though a happy ending is great so can an unhappyone.

 What makes a good love story. The first thing is the characters so love stories are more about the people in them. Now the plot could have a million twists and turne but if the characters don't draw in the readers, the love plot falls flat.A love story is about love denied  and either recaptured or lost.

Two lovers find each other and then are separated. The first segment shows them in the discovery phase and the relationship begins.

Then they are separated. One tries to get back with the other but all seems hopeless. Somehow their goals have changed or something else in their lives has made a difference.

The final phase shows one has found a way to  overcome all the obstacles and the couple is reunited and there is a happy or happy for now ending.

 Just think of the kinds of love and remember this, the course of love never seems to run smoothly. Boy meets girl and something is around to keep them apart. Remembering there are many kinds of love means there are many ways any love story can go. There is "forbidden" love. Definitely won't go smoothly. Some great stories have been written about forbidden love. Sometimes the obstacles aren't forbidden and still the love doesn't go smoothly but the chances are things will happen to make this love work. But this is not easily done.
