Meandering on Monday with Janet Lane Walters #BWLAuthor #MFRWAuthor #Poem #Writing #Corn Silk #Politicians

Meander 1  Poem -- The Soul Suckers --

She sucks souls
So does he
Seeking those who need attention
Those who call to them.
Sidling dance of courtship
Circle around the flame
Reaching with adhesive hands
Attaching them with skill.
Feeding flattery, false face love
Th the receptive participant.
Petting with abandon
Grasping, squeezing, pushing hard
In rhythms pulsing throbs
Stroking with sheer passion
Endearments coming fast.
Sucking hard to empty
'Til the soul is dry and flat.
Quick discarded into the trash
And reach now for another.
She sucks souls.
So does he.

Meander 2 - Which is worse - Corn silk or Politicians -- I'm faced with a dilemma. It's corn on the cob season. It's also politician season. Corn silk clings and gets into the food and onto your clothes. Politicians come to the door and ask for votes. They don't want to leave just like corn silk. They adhere just like the corn silk. Not sure which is worse but I wish them both away.

Meander 2 Writing - Am now into the Plot draft of The Lines of Fire Challenged. This is the one that's fun but does take time. Since in the rough draft I would at the end of the story, this draft means the little changes that have occurred during the writing of the story must be amde to make sense. I know so much more about the journey now I've reached the end. Now to make the beginning point to the end.
