One way to bring your characters and story to vivid life is to select a position that shows the character is faced with a choice that is in opposition to his or her beliefs. This kind of problem can give the story a drams. Suppose this character opposes honesty above all things but them he or she must face a situation when honesty could bring trouble for someone or even themselves. This brings a drama and also decisions the chracter must make. For the reader, watching this unfold and the choice that is finally made dramatic.This decision when both sides are valid and logical makes for a strong story.
