Do you write a single genre or do your fingers flow over the keys creating tales in many forms? As Lyncee – I write romance suspense, space operas, or paranormal suspense. As Tasarla Romaney, I write young adult high fantasy.

Does your reading choices reflect your writing choices? Sometimes. I read everything! For 2019, I’m reading through the alphabet. For January I read authors with the last name that started with A,B, Y, or Z.

Are there genres you wouldn’t attempt? Legal or medical suspense. I love to read them. I love to watch them. But know they are not for me to write.

2. Heroes, Heroines, Villains. Which are your favorite to write? I love to write a villain with depth. Not just evil in skin but evil in skin with a purpose even if that purpose only makes sense to him/her. For example, the serial killer in Behind the Mask drives a yellow Mustang because he hates stereo-typing. Sure, it’s hard to get the bodies in the tiny truck but he’s not going to drive a van. Just not going to.

3. Heroes. How do you find them? Everywhere. Do pictures, real life or plain imagination create the man you want every reader to love? Some of my heroes are from pictures but most of them come from imagination. Do they come before the plot or after you have the idea for the story? I’m a plot writer so my characters are developed to fit the plot and then I establish the character arc.

4. Heroines. How do you find them? I like strong heroines – they are very comfortable in their skin. Do pictures, real life or imagination create the woman you want the reader to root for? Unlike my heroes, I do usually creep the internet looking for a picture of the heroine that I have in my head. Do they appear before the plot or after you have the idea for the story? They are created to fit the plot.

5. Villains or villainesses or an antagonist, since they don’t always have to be the bad guy or girl. They can be a person opposed to the hero’s or heroine’s obtaining their goal. How do you choose one? I always have dead bodies in my books so they are bad. As odd as it sounds I usually spend more time creating my villain than I do the hero or heroines. In a romance suspense the villain is who moves the story. That’s a lot of pressure for a character. How do you make them human? By giving them purpose and not stereo-typing them.

6. What is your latest release? The Prince of Light (the last book in the Night of the Gryphon series – a young adult high fantasy).  It’s releases February 5^th but is available for pre-order now. Who is the hero, heroine and or the villain? This series has hands down the best villain I’ve ever written. She’s truly amazing.

7. What are you working on now? The Last of Song of the Siren. It’s a paranormal romance – Tobia is the second in command of The Daughters of Chaos (a bike club of sirens). Malcom is Poseidon's top enforcer. They are meant to be enemies. Instead they have a son. The Siren's want to use his life blood to break Poseidon's curse. The Mer want to kill him so the curse can't be broken. It will take everything Tobia and Malcom have to keep their son safe.
