Meander 1 Poem -- The Shadow --

A constant shadow invades the light
Touching laughter and for a moment
I pause - reflect - and continue on.
The shadow touches my love
And pain comes to my eyes.
Days pass. I never see
This shadow, yet I know
It follows me a few paces behind
And as a child, I thought
The shadow was a part of me
That wanted to eat me up.
It chases me through all my days
And impinges on my life.
Dead men cast no shadows.
No lurker lags behind.
They are engulfed and swallowed.
Their shadows become their them.

Meander 2 - Doctor's Office Visit - My husband had a lot of bleeding from his dialysis site. I called the venous specialist. The secretary told me to bring him in at one thirty and they would fit him in. We were there. So were some other patients. They kept telling me they would see to him next, Surely they would find a break. They did at five thirty in the evening. We were done and left the office at quarter after six. So much for being fit in. He was their last patient of the day.

Meander 3 - Writing - Still working on the Pisces Virgo Connection and struggling to finish before this months ends. Matters would be different if I didn't have things like almost five hours at the doctor's office and two days before six hours at the hospital waiting for blood tests to be done. I will persevere and finish this book.
