Meandering on Monday with Janet Lane Walters #MFRWAuthor #BWL Publishing #Poem #Arthoritis

Meander 1 Poem - Clown's Tears -

Painted face - Painted face
Mashed with emotionless
Hidden feelings. Frozen smile
The clown's tears fall
Slowly one by one
As the petals slowly drop
From a flower that is dying
His hands are mittened
And do not rise
To wipe away the tears.
He stands and sheds
The tears of a love in ending

Meander 2 _Authoritis - Have I invented a new word. Perhaps. Long ago as a nurse, I had a patient say, "My authoritis is bad today." I knew what he meant but thinking on this made me think of the word he used Authoritis. Now itis is a medical ending to words and the meaning comes to be something like a disease or being infected by. Do authors have this disease. Many do and though they try to cure this condition, it becomes ingrained and they must write every day. Some writers hope to catch the disease but something in them keeps them from pursuing relentlessly. They work when they must. Not sure which condition is worse. But I am deeply infected by Arthoritis.

Meander 3 _ Writing _ continuing to hack at this book and now have nearly four out of the chapters going down fairly easy. There are many to go and the time is winding down until I must be finished. Sure hope I make this on time.
